Saw the ruins of a civilization fallen
amidst the rubble I stood and haunted
how you and I once built a fortress
tears shed to commemorate
the existence of a love that was so great
how you and I once thought wed never hesitate

And the stones get rounded by the storms
so do my memories change as time rolls on
